At JOSE LUIS Joyerías, we work exclusively with the finest natural diamonds, carefully selected by our experts and meeting the strictest quality standards.
To the well-known “4 C’s” — Carat (weight), Cut (shape), Clarity (purity), and Colour (colour) — the factors that determine the quality, beauty, and value of each diamond, we add our 5th C: Confidence, built on more than 50 years of jewellery heritage.
A diamond can never be valued by a single characteristic.
The worth of this gemstone is defined by the combination of all these factors.
The cut of a diamond defines its shape, proportions, and number of facets—elements that determine how light is reflected within it.
Each cut is the result of a detailed study aimed at enhancing the diamond’s natural brilliance and maximizing the play of light that brings the finished piece to life.

From colourless (D) to yellow diamonds (Z or Fancy), diamonds are classified on a colour scale identified by letters of the alphabet.
H-colour diamonds still appear colourless to the naked eye. Their colour is so subtle that it is difficult to detect without close inspection.
When a coloured diamond is compared with an H-colour diamond, the H-colour diamond will appear much more attractive and brilliant.
The price of diamonds increases or decreases according to alphabetical order. In other words, the more colourless the diamond, the more expensive and harder to obtain it becomes.

The clarity of a diamond describes the degree of small imperfections present in the stone. Diamonds with the fewest defects achieve a higher clarity grade and, therefore, their value is significantly greater.

In gemmology, the term “carat” refers to the unit of weight of diamonds, not their size. Therefore, when discussing the weight of a diamond, a standard unit of measurement is used: the carat.
One carat is equivalent to 0.2 grams.
